For Anirban Jee-AJ, his musical awakening spawned at the vibrant age of 12, when he received his first electronic keyboard. Anirban found himself heavily inspired by pop icons such as Elton John, Richard Marx, Maxwell, Sting, Carol King and many more. During his teen years, AJ found himself dabbling in numerous tuition courses and on the back of many years studying Piano/Keyboard through school and university, Anirban had honed his musical growth to original songwriting, musical compositions, artist collaborations and performing.

His 2014 debut commercial single “AEIOU” featuring Blue (Celeste Newman) released under the banner of The A&R Department secured air play on FM radio stations across 5 states and even pegged a Top 10 ranking in multiple categories at the 2014 Australian Songwriting awards.

His second release “Undecided” featuring Judd Field secured number one position at the 2015 Australian Songwriting Contest under the Contemporary Pop/Dance category. The track got aired by numerous Radio Stations across Australia.

His third release “Deep Down” featuring X-Factor artist Mary Ann Van Der Horst has pegged number one position under the International Category at 2017 Australian Songwriting Awards. Several of his songs also ended up getting Top 10 placements in multiple categories at the awards.

His last two self-featured releases “Mayday” (2020) and ‘Move Out’ (2021) generated quite a positive and exciting reviews on online music magazines such as GongScene, Vents Magazine, Around the Sound, BMA Magazine and even pegged at #1 on Soundslikecafe Singles Chart!! His latest Video single ‘Will Above My Wish’ pegged as a finalist at the 2022 UK Songwriting Contest. His current 2023 release is now at #1 position on the SoundsLikeCafe Singles Chart !

Anirban’s current series of composition alone range from POP, Urban, R&B/Soul which feature a unique and un‐patterned soulful infusion that’s embedded in an expressive lyrical muster. Having recently worked with many sought after music producers such as Simon Cohen, Steve Peach,Adrian Hannan Sven Tydeman, AJ’s compositions and songwriting repertoire have resulted in numerous radio plays spanning both commercial and community radio stations across Australia and overseas.

 Over three and half decades I've played and performed the blues harmonica, deejayed multiple venues, written different genres of music, and produced my own music as well. My first real large crowd experience was in Germany from 1998 to 2001. 

Some of those performances I'd opened up for DJ Kool, "Let me clear my throat",  the Outlawz, " Baby don't cry",  Montell Jordan, "This is how we do it". Was on Sunshine Live radio show with DJ Falk Heidelberg, worked with house DJ Sean Finn from Stuttgart, ect. 

2008 worked with DJ Wikkid Wayne from NYC, was a guess on a New York Real World episode,  opened for Plain White  T's, Patty Labell, Musiq, Neo,  Aaron Tippon, 2010 - 2013  I've toured globally with the US Army Soldier Show and the Army concert.

 Here comes the train remix has a unique bluesy durty raw fusion sound. To describe it would be like John lee Hooker played with Outkast and Jimmy Hendrix together in a dirty smokey bar.

 2013 - 2017 rigged Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ramstein, Ariana Grande, Menudo (group), Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, the Roots, Rush, Skrillex, Imagine Dragons, Marc Anthony, Toby Keith  Memphis in May, The Hangout festival, ect as an up/down stage rigger. 

Venues overseas I've DJ'd: Grand Hilton Seoul, WalkerHill Hotel Seoul, Gateway Camp Casey Korea, VIP Club Germany, Orange Club Germany, Korean American Festival, Fashion District Seoul, Sunshine Live Radio Germany and  much more.

I've worked in roles as an technical  director, light tech, mobile stage, lighting truss, film and film editing, seen and heard a lot of different styles of Music during my time in and out the Army. It has made me open minded. For that I am truly grateful.
